Step 11 - Annual Review

Introduction

The Annual Review is a formal evaluation of your entire Energy Control Programme to confirm it remains effective, current and aligned with how work is actually performed on site.  It looks beyond individual procedures to assess the overall system — including policies, training, equipment, inspection findings and workplace changes.

By reviewing inspection results, incidents, near-misses and worker feedback, the Annual Review identifies improvement opportunities and ensures new risks introduced by operational change are properly addressed.  When documented and completed consistently, this review demonstrates due diligence and drives continuous improvement — keeping your hazardous energy controls strong, relevant and reliable year after year.
